Kana Park '23

Although I love every single one of my classes, my favorite is my theatre elective because it helps me become much more comfortable being myself around people.

What clubs, organizations, sports, service projects are you involved in?

I am involved in the film club, the spring musical (was involved in the fall play), and speech and debate. In film club, we look at different ways directors, filmmakers, and editors give different effects to their movies and shows, discuss cinema that we find particularly interesting whether good or bad, and make short films ourselves. We also take part in the service organization God's Pantry as often as we can. The musical and play are extremely well-directed and bring the casts together in many ways. In speech and debate, there is a great community of people that travel to different competitions together and work together to help one another improve.

What is your favorite spot on campus and why?

My favorite spot on campus is the field next to the SAC/gym and amphitheater because it has such a great view of the mountains (as many spots at Flintridge Sacred Heart do) and is very calming during break, lunch, or during free time.

What is your career aspiration?

I aspire to be a part of the entertainment business, whether on stage or managing others. If not, I would like to go to med school and get a job in the medical industry.

What's your proudest accomplishment so far?

My proudest accomplishment is being able to learn from my elective of theater class and workshops, and getting cast into the play and musical.
