Where is your hometown?
My hometown is Seoul, South Korea.
What aspects of the residential life program do you enjoy most?
My favorite part about the residential life program is the tight-knit community. It allows me to build intimacy and trust with the girls. Since all of us have the same thing in common of staying far from home, the girls really depend on each other and build the best sisterhood. Outings are also one of my favorite things about the res life program. Some of my favorites were outings to Halloween Horror Nights, Joshua Tree, Van Gogh Immersive experience, and a visit to Getty Villa.
Why did you choose to enroll in Flintridge Sacred Heart?
I chose Flintridge Sacred Heart because of the warmth of the community. The people are very welcoming here, and it seemed like a great environment to truly be myself. Plus, can’t forget about the sublime view!
What activities/co-curricular are you involved in at school and outside of school?
I am involved in the res life council, Unicef/amnesty club, Girls Who Code, and AFNC. Outside of school, I volunteer as a teacher's assistant for a Korean class.
What personal skills have you learned since joining our school?
Since joining Flintridge Sacred Heart, I learned how to get out of my comfort zone and reach out for help. I realized how pivotal it is to admit something that you lack and to seek help. The school's sociable environment made it possible for me to achieve growth from not being afraid to reach out.
What advice would you give a new student at our school?
Carpe diem! Enjoy your high school years, and never be afraid to seize opportunities you are given.
