To me, Flintridge Sacred Heart is more than just a place or a school— it is almost like a feeling that has blossomed within me. While it is impossible to fully describe it, it is like a shining light and the kind of laughter that bubbles up inside of you that almost hurts your stomach.
When I think about what it means to go to a Catholic Dominican school, the first thought that comes to mind is the community that has been fostered by Flintridge Sacred Heart, by my Catholic faith, but really by the girls who I am with each and every day. From my schoolmates I have learned countless lessons about courage, strength, friendship, and love that I will never forget. To me, Flintridge Sacred Heart is more than just a place or a school— it is almost like a feeling that has blossomed within me. While it is impossible to fully describe it, it is like a shining light and the kind of laughter that bubbles up inside of you that almost hurts your stomach. Some might even argue it’s the laughter that follows after a hydro flask hits the ground just when the class has settled down. Although I’m only in the midst of my second year at Flintridge Sacred Heart, I am already endlessly appreciative of the girls I have met, the teachers who have allowed me to grow, and the faith journey that I have been a part of.
