Christina Dupas '16 is one of 11 national semifinalists in the Grades 9-12 category of NASA's Titan & Europa Essay Contest. More than 600 students from across the United States participated.
In their essays, students had to articulate whether NASA's next mission should go to Titan, a moon of Saturn, or Europa, a moon of Jupiter. Christina endorsed Titan, and among those arguing for Titan in her age group, there were two winners and five semifinalists — of which Christina is one.
NASA provided a set of videos to students so they could learn about the details of each location. Participants then wrote an essay of no more than 500 words explaining their choice. Learn more about the contest

Mrs. Nancy Power, Christina's biology teacher, facilitated her participation in the contest.
